Gilboa Ma'ayanot Field Study Centre in memory of Tzvika KaplanKibbutz Merav

Walking in Tzvika's footsteps

In Kibbutz Meirav, in the heart of the Valley of Springs, stands a centre born of remembrance that became a mission. It was founded in memory of Captain Tzvika Kaplan, who fell in Operation Protective Edge, in the very place he chose to make his home – and it runs under the 'Ko'ach Tzvika' association.

Here the open spaces are the classroom: every trail becomes a story, every lookout a lesson, and every trip a bridge between people and their land, and between people and their nation.

It is educational work that carries on the legacy of someone who loved this land with all his heart.

Orot HaGalilHatzor HaGlilit

Lighting up the north with love of the land

In Hatzor HaGlilit, in the heart of the Galilee, Midreshet Orot HaGalil is a warm home for guides who choose to dedicate two years to connecting people to the Land of Israel. From the Carmel to the Golan, from the Lower Galilee to the peaks of the Upper Galilee, they lead trips across the whole vast north.

The secret of the place is the blend of professionalism and a real family spirit. Every guide goes through a journey of growth here: getting to know the land and herself in depth, and building professional confidence through real work.

Even when the Swords of Iron war widened the work to the Shephelah and the coast, the heart stayed in the north – out of a sense of mission to connect all of Israel to the north.

Midreshet Netzarim

A home for good

In the picturesque village of Mazkeret Batya, in the heart of the country, "Tziyunei Derech" guides trips from Ashkelon in the south to Tiberias in the north: the coastal plain, the Shephelah and the Judean Hills, the Carmel, the Lower Galilee and the Gilboa.

The belief here is simple: the deepest way to love the Land of Israel is on foot. So every trip is built precisely for its group – schools, families, soldiers and retirees – and even the magical places close to home are discovered anew.

The heart of the centre is its team of guides, who enjoy emotional support and close professional mentoring. It is a warm, loving family home – one its graduates stay part of for years afterwards.

On the road to the city

For more than 45 years, the Sha'ar HaGai Field School has stood in Moshav Beit Meir, on the historic road up to Jerusalem. Here the story of "the road to the city" – the heroic battle of the 1948 fighters – is told exactly where it was written.

Battle heritage, love of the land and nature conservation meet here in one educational mission, with a special expertise in the Gai, the Shephelah and the Jerusalem hills. The close-knit team never stops learning and growing, creating a lively, enriching educational setting.

Where Jerusalem began

Where the history of the eternal city began, the City of David Field Study Centre is the leading centre for getting to know ancient Jerusalem in all its layers. Its tours cover the City of David, the Mount of Olives and the Old City basin, weaving together history, archaeology and heritage.

The centre works with the education system, pre-army academies and the IDF, trains tour guides and produces events and conferences. It also encourages scientific research in the area and opens its discoveries to the public – and offers lodging in the Peace Forest and visits to 'The Farm in the Valley', an ancient farm in the Hinnom Valley.

A place where history comes to life, right beneath your feet.

Learning from the desert

Midreshet Beyachad in Yeruham was founded in 1987 by Shmulik Friedman Ben Shalom, and it is the home of touring in the Negev and the south.

Here the desert is the teacher: the region's landscapes, plants, wildlife, geology and history meet values of Judaism, pioneering and community – values you can only learn by looking closely at the desert landscape.

All in a joyful, family atmosphere – just as the name ("Together") promises.

Midrashat HaDaromNeta

From Gush Katif to Lachish – a story of continuity

Midreshet HaDarom's story began about 30 years ago in Gush Katif, where the midrasha was an inseparable part of the struggle for the region. After the evacuation it was rebuilt in Neta, in the Lachish region – and carried on educating, touring and passing on the heritage.

Quality tours, educational journeys for youth, conferences and study days, and an annual tour programme for adults – in the hills and in the desert. Its flagship projects include the "Landscape of My Childhood" tours for local councils and the Lachish Research Conference.

The midrasha's guest house sits in a quiet spot with a stunning view, close to heritage sites and lesser-known trails, and a short drive from Beit Shemesh, the southern coastal plain, the Negev and the Dead Sea.

Every year tens of thousands of people from every part of society tour with it, and it is among the first to report news from the field. Its activities include quality trip series for adults and bar and bat mitzvah journeys on the Israel Trail.

The goal: to make every trip an enjoyable, unforgettable experience – and through it to pass on love of the land, love of the people, and the Jewish and Israeli heritage.

Galilee Field Study CentreAkko

From Akko to the whole north

The Galilee Field Study Centre was founded in 2007 in Akko, as part of Eshkolot's network of touring centres, and is named after the late Amichai Merhavia.

From here trips set out across the whole north – from the Upper and Lower Galilee, through the valleys and the Carmel, to the Golan Heights – with a special focus on the unique tours of Akko itself. The team builds every trip from the ground up: content, guiding, choice of sites and full logistics, and also runs tour-guide courses together with Eshkolot.

One of the centre's best-loved projects is 'Masa Sababa' – a tour series for grandparents, so they can guide their grandchildren themselves and strengthen the bond between generations.

Midreshet Hevron was founded in 1978 in Kiryat Arba–Hebron, to connect the different parts of the nation and to connect the people of Israel to its land, homeland and heritage. Since then more than two million people of every age and background have taken part in its programmes.

Alongside tours, journeys, conferences, workshops and guide training, the midrasha researches the land of Judea and presents it at dedicated conferences: the Hebron Research Conference, the 1929 Conference and the Bethlehem Conference.

At the heart of the work is a guiding team that includes eight national service volunteers and adult guides certified by the Ministry of Education, who lead pupils through the Jerusalem hills, the Judean Shephelah, the Judean Desert, the coastal plain and Jerusalem – with close, warm and professional personal mentoring.

The world of the Temple, at eye level

The Temple Knowledge Midrasha works to bring the people of Israel, in Israel and around the world, closer to the glorious past of Jerusalem – the heart of the nation – out of a longing to see it rebuilt in its splendour.

Knowledge is passed on here through experience: plays, crafts, building models of the Temple and the Tabernacle, siddur and chumash celebrations, 3D glasses and interactive sign games – for kindergartens, schools, high schools and whole communities.

Deep, meaningful content, in a language everyone can connect to personally.

Spirit and Judaism in the heart of the city

In the heart of Tel Aviv, 'HaMakom' is a centre of culture and spirit born to connect: between parts of the people of Israel that seem different, between us and ourselves, and between us and Judaism, tradition and God.

Every week hundreds of people from every part of Israeli society pass through it – in talks, lectures, workshops, social gatherings and cultural events – and each finds their own way to connect, in a warm and accepting atmosphere.

Precisely in the heart of the secular city there is a great thirst for spirituality and meaning, and 'HaMakom' answers it with experiential, heartfelt content – without giving up on depth.
